Quincy ‘Ego’ Lacon has secured a spot in this year’s Calypso Monarch Competition final and is optimistic of a win with his song “World Boxing Match”, which focuses on fighting COVID.
The song was recorded two weeks ago through Ssignal Productions and submitted for the auditions. Quincy learnt of its selection this week.
The singer explained that with COVID-19 still impacting the world at large, he thought it only fitting to release “World Boxing Match”. It has been almost two years since the world has been devastated by the pandemic, the singer said, adding that it is a long-standing match between the people and this virus and it is about time the people conquer it.
