Ex-cop charged with shooting rank during row over slippers

A former police constable was on Friday asked to post $75,000 in bail for his release after he was charged with shooting a then colleague in the leg with his service weapon during a row over a missing pair of slippers.

Corinth Corbin, 22, of Silver Town, Linden, ap-peared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. 

He denied that on January 31, 2021, at Brickdam, Georgetown, he discharged a loaded firearm at Dewani Lampkin with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable, or cause grievous bodily harm.
