Fire Service denies Corentyne victim’s claim that tenders arrived without water

The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) has refuted the claims of Corentyne fire victim Kulcharran Prashad that their tenders arrived without water when it responded to the fire that destroyed his home last Thursday.

Prashad, 63, of Section ‘C’, Lot 56 Number 79 Village, Corentyne, had lambasted the response by the GFS on Thursday, saying it had failed him. He claimed the fire service arrived without water and then took some time to source water from the Corentyne River.
