Guyanese left-hander, Shimron Hetmyer, will turn out for Rajasthan Royals this year while Jason Holder and Nicholas Pooran also attracted big buys in the 2022 Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) auction yesterday.
Guyana Amazon Warriors’ Hetmyer, who played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals in the past seasons, was caught in the middle of a bid-war between Royals and Capitals as his base price of 1.5 crore rocketed to 8.5 crore, equivalent to US$1.13 million.
