Barnwell (173), Dindyal (110) set up DCC vs GCC 1st Division final

Centuries from Demerara Cricket Club’s (GCC) Christopher Barnwell and Georgetown Cricket Club’s (DCC) Mavendra Dindyal in the semi-finals of the Georgetown Cricket Association GISE/Star Party Rental/Trophy Stall First-Division tournament ensured the two sides a spot in the final.

Over at the historic GCC ground, Bourda, the hosts pummeled a depleted Police Sports Club into the ground to secure first innings points after containing Police to 142 for nine in 30.3 overs and posting 344 for eight declared. Police, in their second innings then saw the game to a close with 66 without loss from 6.4 overs when the match ended. Kevon Boodie (34 not out) and Andrew Lyght Jr., (30 not out) were at the crease when the match closed.
