No bail for men allegedly found wrapping cocaine pellets

Two men, who the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said were arrested wrapping pellets of cocaine amounting to $1.2 million in value, have been charged and remanded.

Ron Reid, 44, and Nigel Dundas, 45, were brought before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday and they both pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

It is alleged that on March 2, 2022, at Front Road, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, they had 1.084 kilogrammes of cocaine in their possession for the purpose of trafficking. Following their not guilty pleas, both men were remanded until April 8.
