Cosmetologists, beauticians and barbers will soon be operating their businesses from new concrete stalls that are currently being built at the Merriman Mall.
Deputy Mayor Alfred Mentore on Tuesday confirmed to Stabroek News that the new stalls are being built to accommodate salons and barber shops.
According to Mentore, the decision to construct the stalls was taken by the Mayor and City Council (M&CC) and its Market Committee as a measure to generally bring a decent appearance to stalls along the Merriman Mall.
