Education Ministry launches surveys on hairstyle guidelines for students

Saying it is committed to reviewing the “rules/guidelines” regarding hairstyles for students, the Ministry of Education on Thursday said it is conducting consultations and has developed three surveys to receive feedback from students (https://go.education.gov.gy/lefq6), teachers (https://go.education.gov.gy/vlynf) and parents (https://go.education.gov.gy/ticpw). The announcement of the review came days after the ministry allowed students to wear their hair in a style of their choosing in observance of International Women’s Day and to start the review process.
