Sadhguru led a delegation, which included Trinidad soca star and yogi Machel Montano, that met with President Ali and his Cabinet yesterday. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha and Sadhguru in support of the latter’s ‘Save Soil’ movement. ‘Save Soil’ is a global movement launched by Sadhguru, to address the soil crisis by bringing together people from around the world to stand up for soil health, and supporting leaders of all nations to institute national policies and actions toward increasing the organic content in cultivable Soil. Supporting partners include the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the UN Environment Programme – Faith for Earth, the World Food Programme, Partnerships For Change, and International Union for Conservation of Nature and Global Citizen Forum.
