The Berbice Jammers once again took home the best gym award while Tiquan Sampson fought his way to the best boxer trophy when the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) second Pepsi/Mike Parris U-16 tournament for 2022 was staged Saturday at the Andrew ‘Sixhead’ Lewis Gym.
On the back of victories from young stars Travis Sancho, Matthew Thomas, Aubrey Austin, Jehaul Haniff and Jadon Lewis, the Berbice outfit once again secured the best gym accolade.
Meanwhile, Sampson (48-50kg) of the Forgotten Youth Foundation Gym, showed his class with a first round stoppage of Jandon King en route to earning the coveted accolade of best boxer.
