Accused in Bourda cheese vendor’s death admits to manslaughter

George Paton

George Paton, one of the three men accused of the 2018 murder of Bourda Market cheese vendor Troy Ramalho, who was shot during a robbery, is now awaiting his sentencing after pleading to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

At his arraignment yesterday morning, Paton denied the capital charge read to him but copped to the lesser count.

He admitted that he unlawfully killed Ramalho on August 15, 2018, at Robb Street, Bourda, during the course or furtherance of a robbery.
