Trinidad man found dead in car trunk three days after he went missing

 (Trinidad Guardian) Three days after a Princes Town man was reported missing by relatives his body was found in the trunk of his vehicle along Poole Valley Road, Rio Claro by police yesterday.

 

According to a police report, around 3.:40 pm officers of the Rio Claro Police Station received information from motorists plying the area of a strange vehicle, a Silver Grey Sylphy, parked off the roadway along the Poole Valley Road, Rio Claro.

 

Police officers responded and on arrival saw the parked vehicle intact and secured but a foul stench was coming from the trunk of the vehicle.

 

Access was gained into the trunk and officers were greeted with a bloated lifeless body lying cramped, dressed in blue three-quarter pants and a burgundy jersey.

 

The body was identified by police by a driver’s permit as that of Vishal Ramjohn of St Charles Village, Princess Town, who was reported missing since Wednesday 16 March, 2022, the last day he was seen driving his vehicle at the home of his sister Nishay Ramjohn of Reform Village Gasparillo.

 

The body was viewed by District Medical Officer and ordered to a funeral home from where it will be taken to the Forensic Science Center for postmortem to determine the cause of death.
