Health ministry mulling booster doses for adolescents – Anthony

The Ministry of Health (MoH) may soon start to administer booster doses to children between the ages of 12 to 17, according to Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony.

In the his daily COVID update, the minister noted that following recommendations made by the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), his ministry may soon start administering booster doses to adolescents.

“There is a recommendation from the CDC and the US FDA… that for persons 12 years, they can get a booster dose, so that’s something that we will also be looking at,” Anthony was quoted as saying.
