Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn is looking for other possible locations for the operations of more water taxis along the Demerara River.
According to the Ministry’s Facebook page, visits were made by the Minister along the eastern Demerara Riverbank in the vicinity of the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB) last Saturday, and Tuesday, by boat along the river.
The search for feasible locations is intended to reduce the traffic congestion in developed areas such as Georgetown and for commuters along the West Bank of Demerara and the West Coast during the busy hours.
