Regional Division Three police on Saturday afternoon arrested a 25-year-old labourer from Crane, West Coast Demerara after they discovered a bag containing 34 grams of suspected cannabis in a plant pot about six feet from where the suspect was standing on the road.
According to a police report, acting on information received, police ranks went to Lite Street, Crane between 5:40 pm and 6:30 pm where the unnamed suspect was.
In a police statement it was said that when ranks arrived at the scene, the suspect who was clad in black pants and a black jersey was standing on the eastern side of the road at the entrance of a shop and was acting in a suspicious manner.
