NSC assists hockey team to attend CAC qualifiers

National hockey stalwart Gabriella Xavier receives the National Sports Commission’s donation for the CAC Qualifiers from Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle, in the presence of her teammates.

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has presented GYD$3,000,000 to the national female hockey team which will participate at this year’s Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games qualifying tournament in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Guyana, seeded 66th, will open their campaign against 49th ranked Puerto Rico tomorrow before battling 73rd ranked Bermuda Saturday. Their final group fixture will occur against 63rd ranked Jamaica on Sunday.

The top two finishers will advance to the 2023 CAC Games in El Salvador.
