El Dorado offshore stages orientation/training

An El Dorado job camp session at Kamarang

As Guyana’s oil and gas sector seeks to build, incrementally, on its accomplishments since the first oil find in May 2015, companies associated with the sector continue to roll out orientation and training programmes designed to position Guyanese to benefit more from openings in the sector.

Last week,  the manpower recruitment company, El Dorado Offshore (EDO) executed a series of one-day job camps held in five regions in Guyana aimed at providing locals of all ages with access to skills in a range of disciplines that would better position them to remove barriers to securing employment opportunities in an expanding Guyana economy.
