Mon Repos girl who went missing now in protective custody

A 14-year-old Mon Repos girl who went missing last Tuesday from her home has since been found and is now in the care of officials at the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security’s Child Care and Protection Agency after she alleged abuse by her mother.

According to the Commander for Regional Division 4 ‘C’, Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram, as stated in a police report, the missing teen in the company of a 19-year-old girl of Moblissa Bridge, Soesdyke/Linden Highway turned up at the Cove and John Police Station, East Coast Demerara on Saturday at about 4pm.
