A 22-year-old taxi driver was on Wednesday remanded to prison after he was charged with robbing a Crane, West Coast Demerara (WCD) businessman of twelve gold chains worth $1.5M.
The accused, Tarique Manawar Khan of Lot 142 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown appeared before Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court.
He was charged with robbery under arms committed on Ren Persaud, 30.
