Minister of Sport, Charles Ramson Jr and the Director of Sports, Steve Ninvalle, met with the five medalists from the recently concluded CARIFTA Games, their families, coaches and the President of the AAG, Aubrey Hutson for individual closed-door sessions.
The attendees discussed the immediate and medium term goals and how the Government of Guyana could support the athletes in their careers and their education.
At the end of each session, decisions were made by the subject Minister for ongoing support by the Ministry and the National Sports Commission tailored to their personal circumstances and their respective education stage.
