Construction worker Clincy David is now awaiting sentencing after a jury yesterday afternoon found him guilty of raping a 13-year-old girl two years ago.
Following hours of deliberations, the 12-member panel returned with unanimous verdicts, convicting David on a first count of attempting to rape the teen on April 8, 2020 and on the second count of sexually penetrating her on July 13, 2020.
Justice Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, however, deferred the convict’s sentencing until June 10 to first hear from probation, psychiatric and other social impact reports.
