Bus driver acquitted of raping differently-abled woman

Forty-eight-year-old Route 42 (Georgetown-Timehri) minibus driver Sherwin Reynolds who had been accused of raping a differently-abled woman back in 2018, was acquitted by a jury yesterday afternoon.

Following hours of deliberations, the foreman announced the unanimous verdict that Reynolds had been found not guilty of the offence.

The allegation had been that he had raped the 21-year-old woman on April 19th, 2018 at Timehri.
