Deputy Director General of the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), Major Loring Benons, last week received a cheque valued $500,000 from Digicel Guyana.
A statement from Digicel said that the money will be directed towards the residents of Bath Settlement who experienced a storm last Friday which left significant structural damage.
