A Corentyne man who was released three weeks ago from the New Amsterdam Prison was yesterday morning found dead with severe chop injuries about his body in an empty lot at Number 55 Village, Corentyne.
Akash Pechia, 22, of Number 50 Village, Corentyne, was found with chop injuries to his neck, back, and wrist.
As of yesterday afternoon, Pechia’s cousin and a friend were in custody for questioning as they were the last persons seen with him.
