The restoration works on the historic City Hall building are moving apace and are on schedule,  according to Deputy Mayor of Georgetown, Alfred Mentore.

Mentore on Thursday told Stabroek News that he is pleased with the progress that he saw while he was on a visit to the building with a party of city councillors.

He also said that due to COVID, the Trinidadian construction company, Fides Ltd is still in the process of importing more materials for the renovation.
