It was déjà vu all over again in Essequibo yesterday as Team Foundation riders, Akil Campbell and Jamual John once again occupied the top two podium spots.
One week after earning the gold and silver in the Independence Three-Stage road race, the duo took their talents to the Cinderella County and mirrored their heroics in yesterday’s 60-mile event which was also sponsored by the National Sports Commission.
Campbell of Trinidad, soloed in to take the spoils of the fixture which was staged from Charity to Supenaam and back to Anna Regina in excess of four minutes ahead of the pack. It was also the same margin of victory in the Three-Stage race.
