A six-month training programme to bolster Guyanese port security and container control concluded on May 25 with 14 graduates from the Guyana Police Force, the Guyana Revenue Authority, the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit, the Maritime Administration Department and the Guyana Defence Force Coast Guard.

Funding for the training was provided through the US Department of State’s office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), in collaboration with the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime’s (UNODC) Container Control Pro-gram, and the World Customs Organization.
