US, CDC conclude oil spill response training 

The United States Embassy in Georgetown and the Guyana Civil Defence Commission (CDC)  yesterday concluded oil spill response training and there was a donation of related equipment.  

A statement from the embassy said that from January through April 2022, the US Coast Guard led a series of joint activities aimed at assisting Guyana in the development of a reliable national response system and to enhance the CDC’s maritime oil spill prevention, planning, and response capabilities.
