Investigators probing a carjacking which occurred on Sunday night have managed to recover the vehicle which had been stripped and repainted.
Police yesterday said that several persons including a member of the force and a mechanic of Patentia, West Bank Demerara have been arrested.
Police in Regional Division 4(B) had been probing a carjacking committed on a 34-year-old taxi driver, Rameshwar Singh, of Number 70 Village, Corentyne, Berbice. His vehicle, a white Toyota Premio, HD 2132, was stolen on Sunday night.
