A Bare Root man, who was apprehended by public-spirited citizens after allegedly robbing a pensioner, was yesterday remanded to prison on a charge of armed robbery.
Kevin King, a 32-year-old porter of Bare Root, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was remanded to prison and the matter was adjourned until July 20, 2022.
