Bodies of cousins found after Pomeroon River collision

The bodies of two cousins, 29-year-old Devor Naughton and 18-year-old Sherwin Adolphus of Hackney, Pomeroon River, Region Two were recovered yesterday morning after they went missing on Sunday afternoon.

Naughton and Adolphus were feared drowned after their boat collided with a fisherman’s craft in the river. Naughton’s mother, Suzette Naughton, said yesterday that her son and cousin were heading home when the crash occurred. The mother said that based on information the boat engine took in a “coconut husk” and they lost control of the boat.  The incident occurred around 5 pm and the bodies were recovered around 11:30 am yesterday.
