Fourteen semifinalists have been chosen from the 38 young women between the ages of 17 and 26 who were recruited for the Miss World Guyana pageant, it was revealed on Thursday.
The selection was made by seven members of Majesty International, the official franchisee and licence holder of Miss World Guyana.
The 14 ambitious young women who were selected to vie for the prestigious title are: Shannon Sooklall, Gishell Massiah, Krystal Collymore, Trevlind Harry, Darisa Christie, Esther Marslowe, Andrea King, Raeshaunna Jones, Arian Richmond, Malinda Ho-A-Lim, Kaitlin Sharma, Anjanie Lall, Emaley Nurse, and Naina Pai.
