Hicken meets GGDMA leadership

Commissioner of Police (ag), Clifton Hicken on Friday met officials from the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) with the aim of resuscitating the hinterland intelligence community meeting in order to enhance the security posture within the hinterland regions. The meeting was held in the Commissioners’ conference room, Eve Leary. In a press release, the Guyana Police Force said during the meeting there was a “shared” vision in terms of areas where the GPF and the GGDMA can complement each other to mitigate crime and violence. The team from GGDMA was headed by its President Andron Alphonso. Among the executive members who were present were Charles Da Silva, Azeem Baksh, Patrick Harding, Geraldo Alphonso and Avalon Jagnandan.
