Days of searching for 19-year-old mother of one, Anisa Miguel ended yesterday morning after the police discovered her body floating in the Mazaruni River.
Miguel of St. Ignatius Village, Region 9, had been missing for nine days prior to the discovery. Her body was found at approximately 10.30 am yesterday in the vicinity of Baboon Island, Middle Mazaruni River.
In a statement, Commander for Police Division #7, Dion Moore said ranks from his division acted on information received and went to Baboon Island where they observed a body afloat, face down, which was later identified as that of Miguel.
