A three-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries yesterday at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital after he was struck by a speeding car along the Canefield Public Road on Sunday evening.
Dead is Daniel Major, of Second Street Islington Village, East Bank Berbice.
According to information gathered, driver of the hire car, HA 9700, Claudwin Mc Donald, 21 years-old of Goed Bananen Land, East Canje, Berbice, was proceeding north along the Canefield Public Road, when the child, who was alone at the said time, attempted to cross from west to east and ended up into the path of the car.
