Chief of Staff, Brigadier Godfrey Bess has completed the first of a two-year Distance Education Programme of a Master’s Programme in Strategic Studies at the United States Army War College, a release from the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) said today.
This three-week resident phase of the course focused on ‘Strategic Leadership in a Global Environment’ and allowed participants to meet with internationally recognized experts from a wide variety of fields, to deepen their understanding of the nature of strategic leadership and broaden their appreciation for the substantive security issues confronting nations.
The GDF said the course is attended by civilian and military leaders from around the world.
