More than $300,000 in cash and other valuables were stolen on Thursday night from a vehicle belonging to a visiting Surinamese businessman.
Police yesterday confirmed the break in and theft which took place sometime between 21.00 hrs and 23.00 hrs on High Street, Georgetown, in the vicinity of Umana Yana, Georgetown.
The victim was identified as Rakesh Kalloe, 53, of Paramaribo, Suriname.
