Bangladesh take series after nine-wicket win

Gudakesh Motie took the only wicket to fall yesterday as Bangladesh thrashed the West Indies by nine wickets to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Another paltry batting display at the Providence National Stadium by West Indies resulted in a nine-wicket loss to Bangladesh, effectively handing the visitors an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

In sunny conditions, the visitors won the toss and inserted West Indies who were rolled over for 108 in 35 overs. Bangladesh then reached 112 for the loss of one with 29.2 overs to spare.

After the match, West Indies captain, Nicholas Pooran admitted that the batting group did not come to the party with the wicket getting better to bat as the innings progressed with 200 a decent score to make.
