Guyana U19 girls suffer back-to-back defeats

Realeanna Grimmond scored her first half century for Guyana under-19 girls cricket team.

The Guyana Under19 girls team suffered successive defeats as the Cricket West Indies Under-19 Rising Stars T20 championship continued over the last two days.

On Tuesday, Guyana were subjected to a 10-wicket loss at the hands of USA girls. Guyana won the toss and opted to bat but could only manage 47 for five from their 15-over quota. Niveena Ramnauth was the only batter to reach double figures with 12 from 20 balls. B. Bhadriraju picked up 2-15 for USA.

In the chase, D. Dhingra top scored with 32 not out. Her 33-ball innings featured five boundaries and she was supported by C. Prashad with 19 not out from 22 balls.
