The Guyana Under-17 boys team departed local shores yesterday morning for Trinidad and Tobago where they will compete in the Regional Under-17 tournament from tomorrow.

This year, the team will be led by Demerara all-rounder, Alvin Mohabir, who led his side to an unblemished championship run in the recent Guyana Cricket Board Inter-County tournament.

The Transport Sports Club off-spinner ended as the tournament’s leading bowler as well as the second highest run-getter behind Demerara Cricket Club’s Jonathan Van Lange who was the only player to score over 100 runs in the competition.
