A bandit who has been identified as Learone Forde died after he was shot while attempting to rob a family at La Grange on the West Bank of Demerara (WBD) in the wee hours of yesterday.
The attempted robbery which was committed by Forde and another male occurred at about 01:30hrs yesterday morning at an apartment which is located at Lot 3 Unity Street, La Grange, WBD.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), at about 22:00hrs on Tuesday, the victims, 34-year-old Anil Singh and his wife, Christina Singh, 32, retired to bed. Early the following morning, at about 01:15hrs, they were awakened by the sound of their window being forcefully opened.
