More than six weeks have elapsed and the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) still has not paid the Golden Jaguars senior men’s roster their match-day fees for the 2022 Concacaf Nations League, which was staged from June 4 to14.
This was disclosed by a source close to the programme, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. According to the source, “They have not called the players and have not said anything. Since the last conversation with the players, no new discussions have been held as to when they will be paid. The GFF is silent on the issue, they have not contacted the players, and they are operating like everything is alright and like they don’t owe the players. Not even a timeline for the eventual payment has been established or communicated to the players.”
