A new $3.5 million laundry facility, PK’s Super Clean Laundromat, was yesterday launched on the ground floor of Akbar’s Mini Mall in Cornelia Ida on the West Coast of Demerara (WCD).
The laundromat, which is the first of its kind for Region Three, will offer the washing and drying of any clothing, curtains, mats and any other upholstery fabrics. Other services available are steam-cleaning, pressing and folding.
Speaking with Sunday Stabroek yesterday, the owner, 53-year-old Parbattie Kanhai, said that her business was a dream that she had for years.
