Passengers want fixed schedule for Essequibo ferries

Vehicles waiting to board

Passengers using the ferry services  between Region Two and Region Three are calling on the Ministry of Public Works to institute a fixed schedule.

On Saturday morning, persons showed up as early at 2 to board the Parika ferry to visit Region Two but were the  told that only one boat was working.

The MV Malali was on standby but passengers were told that the Malali is to be used for a cruise today. In the meantime, passengers purchased tickets and had to wait for over eight hours for the afternoon boat. Passengers were of the view that this could have been avoided if there was a schedule.
