East Canje Berbice man, Suraj Ganpat who is accused of murdering his estranged wife, Cindy Ramchandar on Monday morning was yesterday reported to have confessed to a relative of the deceased.
Ramchandar, 24, of Lot 134, Number 47 Village, Corentyne, was stabbed four times about her body. A post-mortem examination performed yesterday gave her cause of death as haemorrhaging due to multiple stab wounds.
A police source yesterday told Stabroek News that they were continuing the hunt for the suspect who left his motorcar in the East Canje Berbice area and fled following the killing.
