Dave Singh was yesterday charged with murdering East Canje Berbice businessman Vickram Seubarran after the manslaughter charge which was instituted against him on Friday last was withdrawn.
Singh yesterday appeared virtually at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Renita Singh where the charge of murder was read to him. The charge stated that between July 31 and August 1 he murdered Seubarran, 53, of Lot 135 Number Two Village, East Canje Berbice.
On Friday last Singh was charged with the unlawful killing of Seubarran between the dates mentioned above and was placed on $750,000 bail. However, after the indictable charge was instituted yesterday, Singh was not required to plead and was remanded to prison.
