A Kwakwani man was on Friday sentenced to three years in jail and fined just over $17 million for the possession of 25 pounds of ganja for trafficking.
Carlon Causeway was charged alongside Devin Causeway, of Third Phase, Kwakwani, Upper Berbice River, when both appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune via Zoom at the Linden Magistrate’s
Carlon Causeway pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and fined $17,009,700, which was said to be three times the street value of the narcotics which was found in his possession.
