Davis Memorial offering free services through new diabetic clinic

Recognising that diabetes remains one of the country’s most common diseases, the Davis Memorial Hospital with support from the Guyana Metropolitan Relief Organisation (GUYMETRO) recently launched a diabetic clinic.

A release from the hospital said that clinic, which was launched on July 31st, is also supported by other local and international organisations.

The clinic and a support group will meet once a month and members of the group who will benefit from the free services, such as glucose testing, diabetic education, nutritional classes and massage therapy. Nutritional meals for diabetics will also be served and patients will be screened and examined by the attending physician. Registration to join ends on August 31.
