No bail for electrician accused of lifting guard’s shotgun

An electrician is now a remanded prisoner after he allegedly stole a gun from a security guard during a robbery at a city supermarket.

Joshua Thomas, 27, of Block ‘E’, Sophia, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in Georgetown, where the charge was read to him.

The charge states that Thomas, on July 31, at A-Wen-9 Chinese Supermarket at Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, while in the company of another, robbed Christopher Hintzel of a 12-gauge shotgun and six rounds of ammunition, valued at $225,000 and the property of Bhojeshwarie Mohan.
