Shimron Hetmyer has been promoted to captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
This was confirmed today by the franchise which pointed out that the explosive left-hander has been with the side since 2016 and featured in 47 matches with one century and right 50-plus scores under his belt.
The 25-year-old has tasted captaincy before, leading West Indies to their first Youth World Cup title.
